Position Summary

The Sales & Account Manager will be responsible for end-to-end business development and account management, covering lead generation, client engagement, sales closure, and coordination for project execution. The role requires strong client-facing presence, continuous follow-ups, and active participation in commercial and initial technical discussions, while coordinating with internal technical teams for detailed execution.

Key Responsibilities (Step-by-Step)

1. Lead Generation & Market Development

• Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned accounts and sectors (not limited to defense).

• Conduct soft calling, client visits, and relationship-building activities to generate leads. • Maintain an updated pipeline of prospects and opportunities.

• Proactively visit potential and existing clients on a regular basis and keep management informed in advance of planned visits.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.

• Build strong, long-term relationships through consistent engagement and follow ups.

• Ensure timely responses, professional conduct, and punctuality in all client interactions.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to understand evolving needs and expectations.

3. Sales Pitch & Initial Discussions

• Lead initial commercial and high-level technical discussions with clients.

• Present company capabilities, solutions, and value propositions confidently.

• Ensure sales pitches are aligned with current and updated technologies.

• Stay informed about industry trends, solutions, and offerings to maintain credibility with clients.

4. Pre-Sales & Proposal Coordination

• Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams for BOQ sizing and solution alignment based on client requirements.

• Arrange and participate in meetings between clients and internal technical/pre-sales teams as required.

• Attend pre-bid meetings, technical openings, and financial openings along with relevant team members.

• Ensure clarity of scope, timelines, and commercial terms before proposal submission.

5. Sales Closure & Contract Finalization

• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead qualification to deal closure.

• Support negotiations, contract finalization, and approval processes.

• Ensure all contractual and commercial requirements are clearly communicated to internal teams.

6. Project Oversight & Client Coordination

• Remain engaged post-contract signing to ensure smooth handover and execution.

• Actively monitor project progress and coordinate with internal teams to meet deliverables.

• Address and resolve client concerns related to timelines, scope, or deliverables.

• Facilitate meetings, presentations, POCs, and review sessions with clients as required.

7. Payment Follow-Up & Account Closure

• Coordinate with internal teams for invoicing and payment follow-ups.

• Ensure timely recovery of payments and closure of accounts.

• Escalate risks or delays proactively to management. 8. Reporting & Professional Discipline

• Provide regular updates on leads, client visits, meetings, and project status.

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.

• Demonstrate professional discipline, accountability, and ownership of assigned accounts.
